Babies en ligne and Old Ladies by Kathy Marvel NEUF

Babies and old ladies have a lot in common - things you may in fact, never even think of. From gas and diapers to medicines and babysitters, the similarities are abundant. Even through their differences, the parallels shine through. The Old Lady and the Baby is a silly picture book highlighting many of these likenesses in which, the baby shows a difference from the old lady yet, oddly enough, they end up being alike. The same but different. Both young and old can see themselves in each other as they find connections in the most unlikely places. It is meant to unite generations and help them find connections in the least likely places. Not only can this book be a lesson for children in their relationships with an older generation, but can be a used an inspiration for adults to find the humor in the circle of life.

Kathy Marvel lives in Colorado with her husband and two sons. She is a first grade teacher and has taught for the past twenty-three years. She spends her free time writing, running, camping, and watching the many sporting events that her sons are involved in.

She is hopeful that her passion for writing is contagious and is passed on to her own kids as well as every child that comes through her classroom doors.
