A very rare and decorative view of the capital of Loango (located in todays Republic of Kongo). This original copper engraving was published by Carel Allard in 1700. It measures 22 x 28 cm (platesize) and is in good condition. There is some very light browning due to age and two small tears in the upper margin have been professionally restored.
